Cookie Policy
A short list, honestly labelled — the cookies OrderDS uses and how to control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember you between pages and visits. Some are essential for a site to work at all; others simply help the site’s owners understand how it is used.
2. Essential cookies
These keep the OrderDS app working and secure. They cannot be switched off inside the app, because without them the Service cannot function.
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in while you move between pages, and signs you out safely when you log out or the session expires.
- Security cookie — helps protect forms and sign-in actions against forgery and abuse.
- Preference storage — remembers choices such as your active store and interface settings, on your device.
3. Analytics cookies (website only)
On the public website (orderds.com), we use a small number of analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages are useful. They tell us, for example, that a guide was read — not who read it. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to track you across other sites for advertising. Analytics cookies are not set inside the signed-in app.
4. Cookies from connected platforms
When you connect a store, eBay or Shopify may set their own cookies during their sign-in process, on their own pages. Those cookies belong to them and are governed by their own policies; OrderDS does not control them.
5. How to control cookies
- Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings — look for “Privacy” or “Site settings”.
- Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in to the app, but the public website will continue to work.
- Most browsers also offer a “do not track” or private-browsing mode, which we respect for analytics.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a category of cookies, we will update this page and refresh the date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app or by email.
